Description

Ever been on the high desert plains, where it seldom rains the wind can howl and bite deep when the sun goes down? That's what the Gold Coast Jacket was built for.

We used our heavy washed Ironclad cotton canvas and washed it for comfort, and finished it off with brass hardware and a cowhide leather collar and trim. It sports a detachable cape, double snap down storm plackets, bottom front riveted, snap-down flaps over the large bellow pocket bags cover side entry hand warmer pockets. The back of the coat features snap up double back vents. Like our oilskin garments its lined with 100% cotton, Australian map stencil printed, two internal security pockets and our unique button-in lining facility.

Very chic for a BRETON like me

I am delighted with my purchase, the security of payment and your shipping service (despite the carbon result!!!)
It is impossible to find this value for money in Europe.
My rain and my storms are now warned! !
THANKS

This is the perfect choice for the cold autumn 🍁 weather,
together with my tanned coloured Aviator Cap 🧢, mustard McLaod shirt 👕, bone 🦴 coloured Croydon shirt and my wheat 🌾 coloured Steel Blue Argyle boots... this complete outfit will outlast just about anything. Five Star ✨ Rating. 10 out of 10.

Great jacket missing one thing.

This is a great jacket very comfortable and I expect it to be tough wearing too. I like it overall. Given the design, I was disappointed that it has no water sheding properties, it just soaked up the rain like a sponge.

A well designed and tough jacket

I have had farm jackets, barn jackets, army field coats, motorcycle leather jackets, hunting jackets...and more. All of them were good but all always missing something. Leave it to the Australians to come up with what might be the ultimate field jackets. Front is double breasted over and under snap lapels to stop drafts, and blowing rain. The back neck collar is leather with a throat guard that can be unsnapped, but on windy days you don't have to wrap your throat in a scarf to keep out the cold air. Then the removable back storm flap designed to sheet water away from the shoulders, neck and back area. Snaps are tough, cloth canvas will handle wind, water, and tough vegetation. Plenty of pockets out and within. Excellent lining extending into the sleeves. I have been trying it off and on for past two days, and can't find anything but good to say about this coat. I highly recommend it. XL size fit me perfect. I will be buying another as a gift for my grandson when he gets back from overseas tour.
