Workhorse Vest in Navy

  • Goes with all the other workhorse garments. Can't beat it first thing in the morning when there is a nip in the air - not much that you cannot do in this basic unit. We used our 12 oz MicroWax oilcloth and lined it with 100% cotton. The vest has a drop tail back with adjustable tabs. The stand-up collar forms part of the snap down front storm placket that covers the zip vest closure. We kept it clean by adding 2 welted hand warmer pockets, the security pockets are on the inside.

    Understanding MicroWax
    Products made using our MicroWax cloth are as tough as they come - 100% waterproof, windproof & breathable. Since the blend is not water soluble, any incidence of water to touch it simply runs straight off. The use of a super tight weave of cotton canvas ensures that it is completely windproof. The breathability arises from the fabric's crystalline structure which varies and aligns with an increase of body heat, thereby allowing sweat in the form of water vapour to escape.

    To clean your MicroWax oilcloth garment, simply wipe or hose down with tepid water, then hang to dry in a cool, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

    Do NOT use hot water, machine wash or dry clean. Don't use any soap or detergents and don't force dry in front of any heat source.

    Oilcloth garments should be reproofed every 2-3 years depending on wear, using Kakadu's MicroWax Reproofing Cream.
