In 1980, American photographer Rick Smolan, had the idea to create a series of books featuring images shot by 100 photographers in 24 hours across a particular country. Living in Australia at the time, the story of how he make it happen is one of perseverance and force of will. A Day In The Life Of Australia eventually became the biggest selling book in Australia and led to many others in the series.
