It's great in the tropics where it can dump an inch of rain in 10 minutes... at least you will know that your head will be dry. You won't believe just how light this hat is. We added a built-in leather hat band just to make it a cut above the rest and added the two large mesh eyelets so there is plenty of air circulation. UPF50+
