  • The IRON BARK DROVERS COAT is a full-length coat that is accented with a cowhide leather collar and cuffs. Made from Kakadu's signature 12oz. MicroWax oilcloth that is renowned for its ability to shield against the elements. The coat has a double storm front closure to repel wind, the drawcord waist traps in the warmth and the extra length keeps your legs dry. The cape detaches and transforms the coat into a classic trench. It has two snap-down lower flap pockets with side entry, side access vents so you can access pants pockets with ease, and two internal pockets to store small personal items. Cotton lined with Australia map print.

    Understanding MicroWax
    Products made using our MicroWax cloth are as tough as they come - 100% waterproof, windproof & breathable. Since the blend is not water soluble, any incidence of water to touch it simply runs straight off. The use of a super tight weave of cotton canvas ensures that it is completely windproof. The breathability arises from the fabric's crystalline structure which varies and aligns with an increase of body heat, thereby allowing sweat in the form of water vapour to escape.

    To clean your MicroWax oilcloth garment, simply wipe or hose down with tepid water, then hang to dry in a cool, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

    Do NOT use hot water, machine wash or dry clean. Don't use any soap or detergents and don't force dry in front of any heat source.

    Oilcloth garments should be reproofed every 2-3 years depending on wear, using Kakadu's MicroWax Reproofing Cream.
