  • If you need to carry but hate the cold then the HOOVER JACKET is the ideal choice because the Gunn Worn concealed carry internal system (CCIS) is built right in. Constructed from Kakadu's legendary 5oz MicroWax oilcloth that has been produced for decades. Lined with brushed cotton plaid with two internal security pockets. Outer sleeves are from non-quilted 5oz MicroWax oilcloth with a quilted taffeta lining for better slip. Includes adjustable waist and sleeve tabs, large front hand warmer pockets with external top zipped pocket, and a brass zip front closure with the a snap down storm placket.

    Understanding MicroWax
    Products made using our MicroWax cloth are as tough as they come - 100% waterproof, windproof & breathable. Since the blend is not water soluble, any incidence of water to touch it simply runs straight off. The use of a super tight weave of cotton canvas ensures that it is completely windproof. The breathability arises from the fabric's crystalline structure which varies and aligns with an increase of body heat, thereby allowing sweat in the form of water vapour to escape.

    To clean your MicroWax oilcloth garment, simply wipe or hose down with tepid water, then hang to dry in a cool, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

    Do NOT use hot water, machine wash or dry clean. Don't use any soap or detergents and don't force dry in front of any heat source.

    Oilcloth garments should be reproofed every 2-3 years depending on wear, using Kakadu's MicroWax Reproofing Cream.
