  • Over a number of years, Kakadu has developed a process we call 'Scrubbed' which gives traditional waxed cotton an aged look with a dry feel. Perfectly suited to this vintage finish is the WATSON BAY BOMBER, with its classic silhouette and relaxed fit. Designed for comfort, it has a cowhide leather collar, ribbed cuffs and waist, and its brushed cotton lining provides warmth with out the weight. It features double stacked hand warmer pockets, angled chest pocket and zipper front closure with button-down storm placket.

    Understanding MicroWax
    Products made using our MicroWax cloth are as tough as they come - 100% waterproof, windproof & breathable. Since the blend is not water soluble, any incidence of water to touch it simply runs straight off. The use of a super tight weave of cotton canvas ensures that it is completely windproof. The breathability arises from the fabric's crystalline structure which varies and aligns with an increase of body heat, thereby allowing sweat in the form of water vapour to escape.

    To clean your MicroWax oilcloth garment, simply wipe or hose down with tepid water, then hang to dry in a cool, well ventilated area out of direct sunlight.

    Do NOT use hot water, machine wash or dry clean. Don't use any soap or detergents and don't force dry in front of any heat source.

    Oilcloth garments should be reproofed every 2-3 years depending on wear, using Kakadu's MicroWax Reproofing Cream.
